Big importance has been given in the helix (spinning-wheel) that moves the ship. It is specifically manufactured in order to can be repaired even in the beach. (in case of damage e.g. from some fat timber that was found in the sea). It has elasticity, in order to it absorbs vibrations from water and the movement, and it bears in the time.
